Kickback Technologies, LLC is committed to ensuring that kickbackconnect.io is accessible to people with disabilities. We believe everyone should be able to claim a Kickback — without barriers.
1. STANDARDS WE FOLLOW
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These standards explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, speech, cognitive, and neurological. Our work is informed by Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
2. WHAT WE'VE DONE
- Semantic structure: Pages are built with semantic HTML so screen readers can navigate by headings, landmarks, and lists.
- Keyboard accessible: All interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields, checkboxes) can be reached and operated using a keyboard alone.
- Visible focus: Focused elements show a visible outline so keyboard users know where they are.
- Color contrast: Body text and primary controls meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds.
- Forms with labels: Every form input has a programmatically associated label and inline error messages with clear, plain-language guidance.
- Resizable text: Layouts use relative sizing so text stays readable when zoomed up to 200%.
- Reduced motion: Decorative animations are subtle and respect the user's OS-level reduced-motion preference.
- Plain language: We aim for short sentences, common words, and concrete instructions throughout the sign-up flow.
3. KNOWN LIMITATIONS
Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Known issues we're actively working on:
- Some embedded marketing animations may not have a non-motion alternative on every screen.
- Third-party content embedded from providers (e.g., promotional videos) may not match our accessibility standards.
If you encounter a barrier that isn't listed here, please tell us — see Section 5 below.
4. ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGIES WE TEST WITH
We test the Service with current versions of common assistive tech, including:
- Screen readers: VoiceOver (macOS / iOS), NVDA (Windows), TalkBack (Android);
- Browser zoom up to 200% in current Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge;
- Keyboard-only navigation;
- Reduced-motion and high-contrast OS preferences.
5. FEEDBACK AND ASSISTANCE
We welcome your feedback. If you have trouble using any part of Kickback Connect, or if you need the form filled out for you, contact us and we will help you complete sign-up by phone or email:
- Email: support@kickbackapp.io
- Phone: available on request — email us first and we will arrange a call at a time that works for you.
When reporting an issue, please include the page URL, the device and browser you're using, the assistive technology (if any), and a short description of what didn't work. We aim to respond within five business days.
6. ENFORCEMENT
If you have a formal accessibility complaint, you may also contact the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, at ada.gov.
7. ONGOING WORK
Accessibility is not a one-time fix. We review the Service regularly, run automated and manual audits, and update this statement as we improve. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
